Optimized Calling

Optimized calling is a feature we developed to help those struggling with calls not going through, dropped calls, or other calling issues. It utilizes Voice over IP technology (VoIP) to make calls using the watch's internet connection rather than the standard phone line. Calls function the same as normal but call quality is often much better for those with connection issues. Optimized calling is free.



How to switch to Optimized Calling

In your parent app, Unpair your device by selecting the device you want to switch to optimized, and tapping the gear icon at the top of the map to open device settings. Tap "Unpair Device". 


Next, on the watch, swipe to Settings > Device. Scroll down to Call network. Tap on it and then click "Optimized". Tap to continue with setup and the watch will perform a few checks, and then assign you a new phone number. This is the new number for the watch, so calls will come from this number, and this is the number you should call going forward. 


Now simply re-pair your device by going to Settings on the watch, tap pair device to show the QR code. On the parent app, Tap the Main Menu > My Devices > Add a device. Then enter the child info and scan the QR code on the watch screen.
